MAY - Yep, it's May already!! Another year just flying by. I guess that's what happens when you get older.
WHAT A WEEK! - The computer goes to hell on Wednesday. Able to get it fixed but it sucked still the same. Then the brake cylinder in the back brake drum blows out. So we had to get that fixed. Now mind you it happened just as we were in a hurry to get to Lauren's graduation. So it was a frantic couple of hours to say the least. I guess that old saying about "When it rains, it pours" came true for us this week.
1 MORE WEEK TO GO - Then it's back to school for the next step in getting my degree. This little break was kinda nice. Well needed I'd actually say.

Thoughts On A Monday Night
TIGER - Didn't win The Masters. Good! Fate caught you. Maybe next time. BTW, I wonder if ESPN was on suicide watch Sunday night because their beloved, almost God Mr. Woods failed to win in the comeback? Wouldn't surprise me a bit.
PHIL MICKELSON - Awesome win at The Masters!! You deserve that! For the way you are in light of your personal issues by getting your priorities straight this Green Jacket is for you. Well Done!!
INK - I want more ink!!! BAADDD!!!!
DEADLIEST CATCH - Tomorrow the 6th season of Deadliest Catch starts on Discovery Channel. While it has been must see since it's beginning this year is gonna be hard to watch. When you know something big that happens at a later point in the season, and it's heartbreaking, there is a lot of mixed emotions going into it. The first half of the season, the King Crab part, should be pretty normal for the most part. You know the same ol' arguments, stresses, and catching crab as always. But, when it turns to opilio season we all know what's next. That is gonna be rough for anyone who has watched this show for a long time. When they show the boats leaving Dutch Harbor knowing that 1 Captain doesn't come back is gonna be tough. I don't know how Discovery is gonna handle the period of time around the loss of Capt. Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie but odds are it's gonna be really, really sad. Probably even Kleenex sad. For a few weeks it's gonna be the same ol' DC and then it's gonna get rough. I'd say very rough. We'll see.
DC PT. 2 - BTW picking the Eddie Vedder song "Rise Up" for the ads for this year was a absolute stroke of genuis. Haunting!!
WHAT I'M ROCKING TO -
1. "I'll Stand By You" by The Pretenders
2. "I Don't Believe In Your Love" by Avantasia
3. "Malibu" by Hole
4. "Deadwood Mountain" by Big & Rich
5. "The Bandit" by Jerry Reed
TODAY'S THOUGHT - "If apes evolved into humans why are there still apes?"

A New Direction
After some searching and careful consideration, I have decided to change direction right now. So instead of going into Construction Management I have changed to Marketing.
Why? More possibilities for one. I did dome searching for CM jobs and was not really pleased with what I was finding. Almost every place that was hiring wanted a 4 year degree and that wasn't what I was going to get. At least not soon. So that started my thinking.
Then I asked a higher up at Delta about options for people for CM's and he said I look into places like Home Depot or Menards. Retail! What the hell? When I signed up for a CM career I sure didn't think that being a store person was the idea way to go. Not at all! I mean I like those places and all, but that wasn't the answer I wanted or was looking for.
So I thought if I am being told to go into retail why not just switch and open up the options? Now with this change, my options are expanded. Actually by quite a lot so it makes sense to me. So I went up Tuesday to Delta and pulled the trigger. That was that.
Granted now it's gonna take me 4 more months to finish but no matter what Stevie can finish 5th grade at Carrollton now. That's a good thing!
So I am quite happy that I pulled the trigger and made the change. I feel I may have sacrificed a little pay at first but I have really expanded my options for finding something. So it's a fair trade off for me. I really feel I have made the right decision for me and the family.

OK Why I HATE Michigan
Yes I do hate a lot about this place. Like what you ask? Well, here we go....
The Influence of the Unions - Cannot, I repeat CANNOT, stand that!! It seems like everything in this state is geared towards, and catered to, the fuckin unions!! The media looks at everything through the union eye viewpoint. This place just thinks that there is nothing more holier, more special, most God-like than unions and union memebership. But, the fuckin idiots don't realize how much shit Michigan has lost because of this outdated piss shit attitude. You honestly don't think that Honda or Toyota or Nissan wouldn't have rathered spent 50 million and refurbished shops here and took advantage of our well trained workforce than dump 500 to 600 million in new plants Down South and have to train people? So why didn't they? Well because to have a plant here it has to be union. Nice rules huh? Stupid rules put in place by lawmakers bought and paid for by the unions. Yep screw the rest of us right? Stupid asses!! This allegiance to unions has done so much damage to Michigan over the last 30 years but way too many still think that it is your heavenly duty to be and support the unions. Well as I like to say you get what you deserve!!
That Great Canadian - Yep, Jenny Granholm!! Far and away the single worse Governor this state has EVER had!! She's clueless!! She shouldn't be allowed to run a family checkbook let alone a state! Just look at all the things she's done. What's that tell you? Granted I know she'll be gone come January but the damage she has done in the last 7 years so far is gonna take probably three times as long to fix despite who gets elected this November. And, that brings us to.....
Repeat Stupidity - But knowing this state they'll elect another Dem. that's just the same as Jenny. Think about it!! Detroit re-elected Kwame didn't they? It didn't take a genius to see Kwame was a fuck-up but Detroit put him back in! Just as I can imagine the whole state will put a Jenny Part2 in office come November. Christ they put her back in back in 2006 when anyone that wasn't blind could see she was damaging shit. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out things were gonna continue to suck under her but yep she got re-elected. So as they said those who don't learn from thier mistakes are doomed to repeat them. And, Michigan seems to never learn!
Taxes and Spending - Nuff said!! Idiots fuck this all up too!!!
Too Much Whining - Way too much!!! So many people bitch and whine about everything even though they put themself in the position to begin with. It's like cutting off your finger and then bitching about the blood stain on the table. You did it!! Quit your bitchin!!
So see there is reasons to hate Michigan!

Ramdamdomness
PAYBACK! - Let's start out by saying that there is some problems at Toyota. No one can deny that. But, the whole hoopla going on in D.C. right now is nothing, NOTHING more than payback to Toyota by people who benefit very nicely from the unions. I don't seem to recall this kind of ferver over the Ford Explorer rear tire deal. Sure there was some but nowhere like this. Same with the Ford police cars exploding on rear impact. But, this is a whole 'nother range of thnigs going on here. There is only one possibility for it. Payback! Payback for a foreign company coming in and staying non-union and then kicking everyone's ass. Just as the corporate influence was heavy in the Bush Admin. the union influence rages on in the Obama Admin. And, the Democrats in Congress are also willing patsies to the unions especially the U.A.W. Hence payback! All of this game playing has more to do with punishing Toyota for not embracing the U.A.W. as it does any safety measure. Anybody, ANYBODY that is not blinded by an insane lust of unions can see this. I hope when this is said and done Toyota realizes this and decides to do everything in their powers to bury the Detroit 3. A Toyota exec once said they kept prices as they were to help the competition stay in business. I hope that after this they say no more, cut prices, and drive another nail in the coffin that is the Detroit 3.
PEDIATRICIANS WANT HOT DOGS MADE DIFFERENT - Yep, you read that right. A leading pediatrician group is calling for new standards regarding how hot dogs are made to reduce choking. You're kidding me right? Anybody that has a lick of sense knows you can cut them up and pretty much end any chance of choking. But not these people. This is just another example of where we're headed. Idiots with too much grant money and no common sense putting out stupid shit like this. Just makes me proud to be in the same country as these people. Sure.
IT'S ALMOST MARCH - Which means we are getting closer to the end of JennyLand. Just a few more months and this place will lose the albatross that is her. Odds are we won't be here to see the good things the next Gov. will do, but we still would like to see what was Michigan rebound for our family and friends who will be here. Just a bit longer now people and IT IS OVER!!
WHAT I'M LISTENING TO -
1. Tell Me What You Want - Zebra
2. Hungry - Lita Ford
3. My Way - KISS
4. Foolin Yourself - Aldo Nova
5. Got To Choose - Paul Stanley
THOUGHT OF THE DAY - Why?

Pick A Number, Any Number (Or More Randomness)
DELTER - Today I pulled a "Lauren" and didn't go to school. HAHAHA!! Just kidding bout that the name but I really didn't go. I don't know there's just those days when you don't feel like dealing with certain shit and 1 of those days was today. It was just safety class so really no big deal.
ALSO ON DELTER - The V.P. was there yesterday. He, along with other members of the current admin, are out shillin the so-called benefits of the Stimulus Bill. I look at it this way; if it was really so helpful you wouldn't need to be out defending it would you? Wouldn't we be able to see it on a day to day basis? We're not so maybe it isn't working out the way they want us to believe hence having to shill it in hopes of getting the "mindless masses" to believe the bullshit. Thankfully most people aren't buying it. November should be real interesting to say the least.
SPEAKING OF THE CORRUPT AND THEIR MINIONS - Why does it seem like almost every news story is a covert attempt to sway people into buying into the bullshit comin out of D.C.? The very nature of most reports on anything medical right now seem to have a covert message to them trying to show what unregulated by the Govt. healthcare is doing. Just reading between the lines shows the pro-reform bias at the heart of the reports. Kinda subliminal I'd say. Leave it ot most of the media to just jump on board with whatever the peons in D.C say. They must feel that they need to go overboard to try and change the very thoughts and minds of most of Americans who are obviously against any of the so-called health reform options comin out right now. The American people aren't buying it so just give it up!
TEYOTER - Boy, oh boy, nothing like piling on is there? Toyota has some issues right now but the way certain segments of the media are piling on you'd think that no auto company has ever had any kinds of troubles before. Yes, most of it is because they are the Japanese company who routinely kicks the Detroit 3's collective asses. That's all! What a bunch of shit!! Toyota will recover just as Ford has recovered from the things that affected them negativily (Pinto gas tanks, Explorers, Crown Vic police cars). It will just be nice when everything gets back to normal and I don't have to hear the over-inflated bullshit that is out there right now.
BEST PLACES TO LIVE LIST - The Best Places to Live list has come out and no surprise, the West rules! Colorado, Arizona, Cali., and Alaska seemed to dominate the list. Really no surprise if you ask me. Why do you think we're looking West? That's where everything seems to be rockin right now so why not? Ironic though, at the bottom of the list is where Tony is headed, West Virginia. Good Luck Bud!
THINKING 'BOUT ALASKA - It's there! Currently it's leading! Let's see what happens shall we?
CAPTAIN PHIL - Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie passed away last week. The Cornelia Marie and it's crew became parts of many household through Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch" show. Over the last few years a lot of people got to know Capt. Phil and saw a tough, wily, smart as hell, take no shit fisherman with a passion for the seas and for life. He was the kind of guy who you felt you'd like to have a beer or a few with. But, now thanks to a stroke, Phil is no longer with us. That's such a shame! Farewell Capt. Phil!
WHAT I'M LISTENING TO -
1. Portland, Oregon by Loretta Lynn
2. Hand of the King by Bruce Kulick
3. The Truth by Jason Aldean
4. Only Daddy That'll Walk The Line - Waylon Jennings

Welcome To 2010!!
Welcome to my post of 2010!
So what's new you ask? Well, Winter 2010 courses at Delter have started. So far, so good school wise. I really thought I was gonna be lost when it came to this shit, but so far it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I just hope it stays that way. I really do!!
On the HomeFront, well not much different. The lady and the kid are still doing good. I guess that's cool!
But, there is a problem here. What to do after I get my degree? Where to go? Y'know this isn't such an easy thing to deal with. Seriously, I don't feel like we have any chance of doing anything if we stay here in Michigan so we need to look elsewhere. And, that's where the problem lies. Where is elsewhere?
1st option might be Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Wow! That is 1 beautiful place there!! Mountains and everything!! There's Lake Coeur d'Alene with it's fish, there is hunting, and there is just it's natural beauty!! Add in the fact that Spokane, Washington is only 30 miles away and it might be such a good thing!! So, so far this place seems to be #1 on the list.
But, in reality, my real #1 is what might be the hardest thing possible: Calgary, Alberta, Canada!! OMG!! What I would do to live in that great Canadian city?? Whenever you look at a picutre of Calgary, it's just so damn beautiful!! I would absolutly LOVE to live in Calgary!! Just love it!!! But, there are obviouly reasons that might be a problem. But, what I need to do is get ahold of someone there and see if we can maybe make something happen. Who knows??
And, then there's Anchorage!! Nuff said there!!
As far as what's here and now, well I feel at times like there is no relationship between me and my own kid. He's just got his own thing and all. Right now that is his PSP and his Nick. That is all he cares about!! Sometimes I feel that his non-interest in me is my own doing and all. If I had done things differently maybe it would be different. I don't know about that but, I do know I really don't like the way things are right now!! Maybe they will change in time. I hope so!!!!
It's currently 11:11 PM. I've always laughed when I see something like 11:11!! It's just funny to me!!
Anybody got any energy pills for the other one?
2 weeks to Daytona, 2 weeks to Daytona!!!!!!!!!
Or, as Stevie calls it, D5!!
In just about 8 days I'll be 40!! Fucking 40!!!!!! Where the hell did the last 25 years go? And, at the same time, now what?? I feel like half my life is done and now I need to make my 2nd half better! Can I? At times I feel like I can, others not so much!! At times I feel like there is a anchor around my neck. It's just pulling me down and down!! What a fucked feeling to have when it comes to something you think should be a good thing huh?
Yes, life is grand!!!!!!
Til we meet again,
Jeff.
