Iran - I really wish that the people of Iran could somehow overthrow the current leadership. I honestly think that the majority of Iranians would like to be cool with the world, especially the U.S. It's been kinda cool to see the protests that have happened this week. The deaths and the lockups haven't been, but seeing the people wanting something different has been. I think a lot of people there want more freedoms. I think there is a lot of Iranians that would like not to be fighting the rest of the world. I really hope that something good can come out of this. Maybe their current leader will get deposed and Iran can start to get back on track with the rest of the world. I can only hope!

The Apology - With everything going on in the world and the U.S. today, N. Korea, Iran, health care, the economy, the Government takeover of the car companies; what does the Senate choose to spend time on? Apologizing to dead people! Yep! The Senate passed a non-binding resolution apologizing for slavery! They wasted time and diverted away from a lot more pressing issues to pass this one. This couldn't have waited until things got better? Shouldn't they be working on the issues that are affecting us here and now? We have some bad shit going on, and instead of working together to hammer some things out, they waste time and pass this! Now, I'm not against what they did, even though I do wonder who is gonna accept the apology, but the timing is just wrong! Supposedly this was introduced a while back, but wasn't acted on until now. How stupid is that? This could have been acted on long ago! But, now with more pressing issues, our Senate decides that this is important to do now! Great Job People! Thanks for the help!

PETA - Or as a lot of people call them, the Loonies! Recently during an interview, President Obama swatted and killed a fly. That is something we do a lot in our lives. Flies bother us, we strike them, flies no longer bother us. Anyway, after that here comes the loonies of PETA to the flies defense. They released a statement saying that what President Obama did was wrong and that we all should respect the lives of even the smallest, most bothersome, creatures. They were gonna send him a "humane catch and release fly trap". You have got to be kidding me! Is there nothing that this group of certifiable whackos won't do for attention? That's all this was about, attention! I know, I know, here I am wrioting about them, so they got mine I guess. But, they didn't get mine like they wanted. They are NUTS! They are a psycho organization that puts animals above humans. It don't work that way! I mean I don't hurt animals except for hunting to feed the family. It's not about hating animals or anything like that, it's about common sense! Common sense tells us that we are the top of the food chain. Common sense tells us that animals serve a purpose depending on the animal. Some are for companionship, some are for food, some are for goods. That is the purpose of the animal. Most of us know what each animal is for. Not PETA! They think all animals are just to be loved. They don't use science, they use mis-guided emotion. They don't think realistically! They are just publicity seeking idiots! I think I shall swat a fly or 2 now.
